Rosie & Jackson

R&S: Your engagement story

R&J: We were in Mahia for New years with our daughter and friends. We went to the beach and started discussing our resolutions when Jackson said one of his was to learn how to be a fiance! The rest is history.

R&S: When planning your wedding what was most important to you?

R&J: Having a coordinator who could help us navigate how to plan a wedding and knowledge on local vendors. With 2 kids it left little time to research ourselves.

Left: Rosie and Jackson had an intimate winter ceremony in The Round Bar

Right: Simple, timeless styling

R&S: What have your guests commented on the most since your wedding?

R&J: How tasty the food was and how spacious the reception area was to mingle and dance.

R&S: Who was the vendor you are glad you invested in?

R&J: All of them! Venue, photographer, videographer, celebrant, florist and our make-up artist/hair company to name a few!!

R&S: What went into or what was important to you when choosing your menu?

R&J: That there would be something everyone would like to eat regardless of dietary requirement. With a winter wedding, having foods that warmed everyone’s tummy’s up!

R&S: Was there anything unique you incorporated into your day that made it extra special

R&J: Not really. We followed the classic wedding plan.

R&S: What is the one piece of advice you would give to future R&S couples?

Book other vendors like photographer/videographer who know the venue well. It meant we could relax knowing they knew all the hidden gems and had a relationship themselves with Paula.

R&S: What initially drew you to Rose & Smith and what made you book?

– The multiple ceremony location options that included indoor and outdoor. After visiting the venue and meeting Paula, booking was a no brainer and very seamless.

– In house caterers

– Paula!!
